What is Shiatsu?
Shiatsu originated in Japan and came to Europe in the 1970s. It promotes general harmonization rather than a treatment of special symptoms. The notion means finger pressure.
Shiatsu is a holistic method of massage by pressure; it strengthens the self-regulatory forces of the organism and brings the human being to greater harmony with himself/herself. It is an ideal complementary method, especially for psychosomatic disorders.
We work with attentive touch along the meridians/energy lines while using gravity and one's own weight ('leaning'); fingers, palms and thumb are mainly used but also elbow, lower arm or knee can be applied. The client wears comfortable clothes.
